Metallic Paper Butterfly

Get out your Cricut Maker as soon as you possibly can for the (legit) easiest and most magical creating yet! You’ll be so amazed at just how simple this metallic butterfly DIY truly is. Wedding? Butterflies. Nursery or kid’s play room? Butterflies. Baby shower? Home decor? You already know… butterflies!

All that flutters is gold!

Do you remember the fairy birthday party I helped decorate for my friend? Scroll down to the end to see the reminder or even better, click here to see all of the gorgeousness! Those butterflies stole the show (sorry Tinkerbell) and you can make them too! Grab your Cricut and some metallic paper and let’s flutter together with excitement. Too far with that one?

All of the supplies were purchased from Michaels (my favorite)!

Watch the step by step video for Michaels that I teamed up with Bluprint to create:

I added some still shots because this project is so dang simple that I wanted  you to catch some up close stills.

3d paper butterflyI wanted to make a banner to show how these POP off the paper. You can see that I used this gorgeous marble paper and brought my super clever words out with it. Yay!

Cricut ButterflyYou can smile and laugh just like I am because everyone will just be amazed at your work, when really… ya didn’t do much. Thanks Cricut!

Cricut and Michaels paper craftYou can use your awesome scoring tool to make the lines for the wings. The Cricut Maker can do it all, but for this short video I didn’t want to overwhelm anyone knew. The more you know, and now you do!

resin butterfly artI made this canvas SUPER quick in my hotel room the night before using watered down acrylic paint. Totally worked like resin without the expense and mess. I think I totally need to try this again. *wheels turning in brain*

Use them in real life!

I also used these in real life at a magical fairy party and they were a huge hit! Simply create different sizes and add them to any entry way to engage the imagination to dream big!
