The seasons come and go, and all too fast. Let’s slow this season down just a but with a daily reminder of all that we have. A visual reminder is the perfect way to constantly set our minds and focus on the good of the season and the everyday. Words can be the most powerful things and displaying them in thankfulness is how we can remind each other of all the good in our world. Handwriting can prevent a lot of us from completing projects that we want to make but Cricut has a solution to that! #ad
Cricut Creates with You
For this project, we want this to be a public display of our thankfulness. Having this display so public means that it needs to look nice. Not everyone has the calligrapher touch and Cricut has so many font choices and graphics for us to make our home projects look picture perfect. Choosing a black, permanent, vinyl you can achieve a hand drawn look. Using our Cricut Maker, Cricut Mat, Black Gloss Vinyl, Weeding Tools and Cricut Transfer Tape, this project is definitely something to be thankful for.
Once your project is set up in Design Space, you will load your vinyl on your mat and insert into your machine. Have fun and play with the fonts and graphics to see what best suits your home. Once your vinyl has been cut you can weed out the negative space and apply your transfer tape to transfer the vinyl to your chosen surface.
Cricut provides a wide range of fonts and specifically Thanksgiving graphics that make this project a beautiful breeze. Calligraphy can be difficult and take a lot of time to learn if you don’t know how to do it. Design Space, Cricut’s exclusive design program, makes choosing a design easy. You can choose from their wide varieties of fonts or a pre made graphic. This graphic is #M10DAB5A0 “Gather Together Give Thanks Together.” The idea behind this Kraft paper pull down design is to get the entire family involved in setting our focus on being thankful. Each day we will each add something that we are thankful for. With this paper roller being center in our home, each day we will be able to see this beautiful reminder of all our blessings. On Thanksgiving we plan on reading them all out loud and really embrace the season.
We have smaller children so letting them hand write what they are thankful for is something we opted for. If you are feeling insecure about your handwriting you can make your thankful list in your Design Space and cut those out too. No matter how you go about using your Cricut to make your thankful list, be sure to focus your season on being thankful.
