South Seas Fiji Stylized Shoot

Bright colors, bold textures and one major tropical vibe all collide to bring you this amazing stylized shoot! We wanted to give your eyes a treat with vibrant colors, succulent sweets (both full of sugar and nature’s candy) and sultry design. Our shoot takes place at The Acre in Orlando Florida.  A Girl and Her Glitter designed so many layouts/ ideas and plans which were brought together with the partnerships of some AMAZING vendors.

What makes this shoot so beautiful to me are the wonderful colors that pop off the screen! The mixed fruits were incredible to work with and the cakes were on point!  This shoot was set up in three parts and we’ll let you in on a little trick of ours.  When designing (any event really), designate at least one item/feature that is your “extra element.” In this case there were a few; from painted vinyl cut-out palm branches of every kind at the ceremony to a bar set up with a bit of a cheeky side.

The boxed invitation was so subtle and gave a tiny hint to what the event would be like. Love when guests have an element of surprise when they arrive!

Solutions bridal had the perfect dress for our shoot- Kristen and Lacey from KWP found just the right one!

Tropical CeremonyThis ceremony is so darn pretty! Our floral designer really knocked it out of the park for this hanging masterpiece. The tones in this little school hose are so warm and the tropical greens and florals really pop.

Tropical flower crownThis bridal headpiece is one of the most unique pieces we have ever seen. The way the modern flower crown drapes on the right of her head is simply magical. At the end of either aisle were free standing pieces that welcome our imaginary guests.

Palm BranchesWanting to add something to the aisle without taking away from the simplicity of it all, we cut vinyl palm branches of varying sizes and hand painted them (some onsite!).

Tropical ceremony decorThe gold chairs really helped the focus to be at the front of the aisle by blending into the surroundings. The painted vinyl palm branches gave just enough of a subtle pop and create an interest in an unlikely place.

Tropical Cakes Let me eat cake! This REAL cakes were making us all drool! The baker gave us a range of “naked cakes” to the metallic drip cakes- and they were delicious! I love the multiple cakes and their subtle varying colors in a monochromatic scheme.

FlamingoWanting the shoot to be a bit different- we wanted a lot of bold colors and textures. Enter food with flair! These flamingo cookies were so sweet among our nature’s candy display.

Bright FruitEach person from the KWP team (and myself) came together to display these gorgeous fruits! It was so fun watching them break open coconuts and arrange the tantalizing colors.

Tropical table decorOur featured table needed to be very natural with more subtle colors. The metallic tones help keep the table modern and fresh.

Tropical Reception

Metallic place settingThe piece from the ceremony was re purposed for the featured table to frame out the space. The rattan bench brings in a much needed texture and off setting it with neutral pillows rounds off our relaxed and subtle vibe.

Mimosa StationThe mimosa bar was a pleasing ombre delight! The bar should never be taken too seriously.

Tropical BarBottoms up! This cheeky bar is ready for anyone to walk right up and grab a copper bar stool to enjoy!
