Hallway Runner

Our hallway in our home leads to many places. We have the kid’s bedrooms, the guest bathroom and our media/guest room. The wear and tear on our hallway rug proved to be just too much. With three kids, a dog and a cat to add to the high tread area any normal rug wouldn’t survive. Solution, Boutique Rugs!

One Word: WASHABLE

Boutique Rug

My number one for a rug in this hallway was durability. To shorten the times of scrubbing and shampooing I needed a washable runner. When I attended the Haven conference I was lucky to meet Boutique Rugs in person and learned all about these washable rugs. Beyond excited, I went through the wide variety on their website and found one that I thought would be perfect for this plain space. The colors, the feel and the length of the hallway were exactly what I was interested in. Even my kids stopped when they walked on them and commented!

Hallway Runner

My hallway decor came to life with this rug and the colors, I wanted this space to be muted yet interesting. I built this letter board wall and these letters for signs are both linked here. These canvases are from CanvasHQ and they can print anything on the best quality canvas. The frames are custom and the How To is here. These lanterns are from the Hearth and Hand Collection from Target and they are the perfect tone between brass and gold. These tones are perfect for my new runner and make this bland hallway fall perfection.
