BBQ Friday Dinner

Our family dinner nights are in full swing during the summer and it has become such a fun event. Each day we come up with a craft- Monday thru Thursday so that on Friday we can set it all up! This week it was a BBQ theme with someone to celebrate.

Bandana Backdrop DIY

I love a backdrop for decor and for photos. This bandana backdrop is cost effective and is so plush! You can even use tissue paper if you are delicate enough so be sure to check out the video below on how to create this.

Party and Details

Using simple things like a roll of paper, aluminum pie pans and napkins we made this party into something so special. The kids jumped in and made this party so fun. Having them color on the paper rolls got their attention for nearly an hour. That’s a parent win for sure!

It’s not about how lavish these dinners could be, it’s more about being creative together, enjoying the journey to relax at the end of it all. We honored my Grandmother’s 95th birthday and captured some moments for a lifetime.

Table cloth for BBQ

This roll of paper can be found at the Home Depot or any craft store. We used sharpies as well as markers/crayons to decorate the table and counter. It’s an affordable way to make decor and add personal touches.

Like at a BBQ restaurant, I wanted the plates to be more of a “trough” feeling. I walked by these pie pans and they were perfection. The video above shows how the entire party comes together and you can see the step by step on the napkin fold that holds cutlery. Celebrate everyday, especially now in these times. Create moments to come together and make memories that last forever!
