Wedding Selfie Station

Selfie backdrops are here to stay! Photos at any event are so important and what better way to help your guests take great selfies, than with a unique and stunning backdrop? The Selfie Station came about when a bride approached me with the idea of putting my paper flowers onto a backdrop so she could have her guests take selfies in front of it. Her wedding was mostly greens with pops of pinks and golds. I wanted it to be fun, but still elegant to fit in with her beautiful wedding.

The selfie station comes to life!

I needed it to be big- big enough for the colors/floral to really show up in the photos and to totally surround whoever stood in front of it.   I created 8′ wooden stands and mounted a lavish amount of flora/ leaves and prettiness to two horizontal lattices. By screwing large hooks into the wooden stands, the lattice was super easy to attach and hang from them. I brought extra flowers to fill in once in we were there.

Vintage sign for guests:

I found an old window frame and cut a few planks of wood for the selfie station sign. We wanted the guests to hashtag the couple’s photos so that they would all be posted in one place. We used vinyl cut out lettering to adhere the words to the cut pieces of wood, tied it all together using jute, and then simply stapled the wood to the backside of the window frame.

The bride LOVED it!  As well she should since it was her awesome idea!!!!  I’d like to raise a toast to the happy couple…. but first, let me take a selfie!
