Oh what fun it is to love on our teachers! Anyone who cares for, guides, and loves on my kid is a saint to me. My kids can be wild and they relieve me of my duties for those precious hours each week. It’s that time of year again where we can show them our appreciation with Christmas teacher gifts and we have just the one for you!
Not another mug!
Typical Christmas teacher gifts include; mugs, gift cards, thermos with cute vinyl etc. Teachers are just like us and want to spend time with their families after a long (super long because your kid in their class) day at work. Who has the time or the energy to create that valued time with their own kids after making teachable/magical moments with yours? Let these super Moms/Dads have that time with their own kids by giving them a gift of time.
Hot Cocoa and Cookies
By creating an all ready put-together basket of hot cocoa and cookies is just the thing. We all have these moments of grandeur ideas of baking with our kids… and we all know the reality. These items are ready to be picked up at your local stores. Just stop in, pick up and cut down on time for all involved. Here is what you’ll need to create the perfect Christmas teacher gift:
Target: Cookie mix, Nestle Hot Cocoa, Marshmellows, Kisses and mini chalk board sign
Michaels: Basket, Sprinkles, Icing, Cookie Cutters
Cricut: Vinyl and Cricut Maker
Since I am always at Target and Michaels, I was able to pick everything you see here. Nothing says time well spent more than hot chocolate. To make sure you never run out, be sure to grab the largest container you can find! In this case we found this Nestle (39 servings) container that was perfect. Picked up a full bag of mini marshmallows as well as Hersey Kisses. Snag an easy to make mix for sugar cookies, and head to Michaels where all of your pre packaged dreams come to live. We scored this trio of sprinkles, pre made icing pair and the cutest cookie cutters. Top everything off with a mini chalk sign of “Home is where you bake it,” and you are good to go!
Of course we topped it off with a personalized tree cut out and scored these awesome cookie trays at Ross. The basket is another win I found at Michaels and will be able to be used for anything these wonderful teachers may desire.
Christmas teacher gifts should be special and just an extension of your gratitude for all they do for your student. WE love teachers and “Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.”
